At least 6-7 years of experience Job Location - Sri Lanka Role Description The Draughtsman / Senior Draughtsman (BIM Modeller) role is a contract position based on-site in Colombo. The role involves producing and updating detailed construction drawings, BIM models, and technical documentation for architectural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems. Responsibilities include coordinating models across disciplines, ensuring drawings align with project specifications and standards, and resolving inconsistencies or clashes in collaboration with the project team. The Draughtsman / Senior Draughtsman (BIM Modeller) will also maintain drawing and model libraries, support design revisions, and assist in preparing documentation for submissions and approvals. The Senior BIM Modeller – Mechanical is responsible for leading the development, coordination, and delivery of high-quality, fully integrated BIM models for mechanical systems, including process piping, chilled water systems, and HVAC ducting, across complex projects such as District Cooling Plants (DCP), Data Centers, and associated utility networks. The role ensures that all BIM deliverables are technically accurate, fully coordinated, and compliant with Dubai Municipality regulations, DEWA/DCP authority requirements, international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA), and ISO 19650 information management frameworks. Acting as a key technical person within the BIM & CAD Cell, the role drives model-based coordination, constructability validation, and digital delivery excellence throughout design, construction, and as-built phases of mission-critical environments. The BIM Modeller – Mechanical is responsible for developing accurate, coordinated, and information-rich BIM models for mechanical systems, including process piping, chilled water systems, and HVAC ducting, across complex projects such as District Cooling Plants, Data Centers, and infrastructure developments. The role focuses on translating engineering designs and consultant inputs into coordinated 3D models and deliverables, ensuring compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, DEWA/District Cooling authority requirements, international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA), and ISO 19650 information management frameworks.
