About the role This Junior Graphic Designer opening in Colombo is created specifically for fresh graduates and early-career designers who want real mentorship rather than coffee runs. It is a full-time role with a negotiable starting salary and a structured six-month development plan. You will sit with senior designers, receive weekly feedback on your work, and build a professional portfolio from live client projects. Experience required: 0-1 years. Internship or freelance work counts. Key responsibilities - Prepare marketing materials such as posters, banners, menus and price lists. - Resize and adapt approved artwork for different social media placements. - Support senior designers during large campaign rollouts. - Keep the asset library, fonts and brand files tidy and up to date. - Take part in weekly critique sessions and apply the feedback received. - Gradually take ownership of small briefs from start to finish. Required skills - Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator or Canva. - A portfolio, even if it contains only academic or personal projects. - Attention to detail in spelling, alignment and spacing. - Willingness to learn, ask questions and accept correction. - Reliable time management and punctuality. Preferred qualifications - Diploma, degree or certificate course in Graphic Design or Multimedia. - Familiarity with print production basics such as bleed and CMYK. - Interest in social media trends within the Sri Lankan market.
